Photographing this piece for Our State Magazine was so much fun and something very out of the ordinary for me. Having never heard of Fantasy Lake and never having scuba dived, I didn't know quite what to expect for this shoot. I was impressed right off the bat with the clear, crisp beauty of the quarry, and as I spoke with some of the divers there, I began to see just how committed to and passionate they are about their favorite pasttime. They were also incredibly friendly, wanting to teach me as much as they could above water. And, before I could leave, the owner of Fantasy Lake, Doye Sherrill, insisted that I sit and watch a video of underwater footage from the lake. He is obviously very proud of his beautiful property and the enjoyment he is able to provide to so many people. In all, a very cool assignment!

Adding to my ever-growing blog collection of beautiful babies...meet Ivan! With parents this gorgeous, it's no mystery how Ivan is as adorable as he is. His dad, Thys (Director of Events at Endurance Magazine), and mom, Ruth, are so adoring of their new little guy, which made capturing sweet, loving images of their family so much fun for me. Thanks, guys!

We played around the studio and out & about the area for Emmy's bridal session. I brought my equipment, a gratitude for this job, and a serious enthusiasm for the session. She brought a vivacious smile, an anything-goes attitude and a boundless spirit. So lovely, catching those moments that just occur around us all the time ...
