I felt as if I were in a European country when I stepped onto the grounds of The Chapel of the Cross... taken back by the architectural beauty, lines, and detail. Molly and Matt's wedding was full of color, laughter, and had hints of Scottish tradition throughout the day. Following the ceremony, the bridal party and guests were led by bagpipers (Molly's cousins) through the UNC-Chapel Hill campus to the Carolina Inn for a festive reception.

I just returned from a beautiful trip to Italy, happily blending work with pleasure and thoroughly enjoyed capturing some wonderful collections of stock photography throughout Rome, Florence and the surrounding countryside, as well a glimpse at the coastline. It's always such a joy to travel throughout Europe. I really love their complex/extraordinarily simple train system.
Thanks to Lisa Walter for coming along for the ride :)
I will be posting some more photographs soon but here's at least one sweet image of the Tuscan countryside... |

jamie and david

My brides will tell you how much I love hearing about how they meet their other halves. In this story of boy meets girl... mom plays the match maker. :) Jamie's mom fell in love with David the minute he started working at her restaurant. With a little magic, mom was able to get Jamie and David to 'bump' into each other at the restaurant where they instantly connected. After dating for 6 years, David popped the question...
Jamie and David were married at the University Methodist Church in Chapel Hill, NC... followed by a backyard reception at her father's house.
Here are some of my favorite moments captured on their day. Enjoy! :) |
| David getting ready... |
| mmm... *love* the green ties! Why didn't I think of that? |
| Here are few shots of Jamie and David right after the ceremony... |
| The limo ride was full of laughter... through each and every bump! :) |
| Reception at dad's house... :) |
| The cupcake tower of justice and glory! |
| You know the scene in Top Gun where they sing to get the girls attention? Apparently, this is one of David's favorite movies... |
| A few sweet and teary toasts... |
| Lots of kiddos at this wedding... |
| I do remember this being a very funny joke... |
| I just love how light reflects off of water... |
| Jamie and David, thank you so much for allowing me to take part in this festive occasion! Your family was so warm and welcoming... I felt very much at home. :) |

It was so hard for me to wait to post these until after Meredith and Sam's wedding! So, in honor of my beautiful (new) sister-in-law, here are a few images from our fun bridal session earlier this Spring. We shot these at the very hip CenterStage at NODA in Charlotte.
Meredith has pretty impeccable taste and when I saw her dress for the first time this day, I could not believe how perfectly the personality of this dress mirrored her own--playful and elegant, understated, and so chic at the same time.
